Just a while ago I finally found the solution to this problem. It’s in post #4 by Anonymous.
I had long been a “non-fan” of Windows XP’s user interface. With all that unnecessary eye candy and emboss effects, it seems to take up too much screen real estate.
So I began using FlyakiteOSX, a transformation pack which turns your XP world (albeit only visually) to a Mac world. Well, this basically means that I’m sort of a frustrated Mac fan, since I couldn’t afford it as of now.
What problem was that I was just talking about?
Windows Update KB925902 and FlyakiteOSX cannot coexist at a certain FlyakiteOSX configuration. Calc.exe stops working. So do some other applications (e.g. Qumana) and some setup programs. They display a dialog box that says “Illegal System DLL Relocation” and mentions user32.dll and shell32.dll.
Some solutions suggest installing KB935448, but it didn’t work for me.
I presume you’re here because you already have FlyakiteOSX installed, and everything is set up the way you like it. Based on the solution I just found, here’s what I did:
- Run the FlyakiteOSX installer.
- Choose Uninstall Components.
- Under System Files, check Shell32.dll.
- Proceed with the uninstall and restart your system.
- This time the blue Mac-like folders should revert to the default yellow XP folders — which I didn’t like.
- Run the FlyakiteOSX installer again. This time choose Reinstall Components.
- Under System Files, check Shell32.dll.
- The next screen will present two choices between 48*48 or 128*128 pixel icon sizes.
- The most important part. Choose 48*48. This is the FlyakiteOSX setting I was talking about a while ago.
- Proceed with the installation and restart. Everything should work fine now.
I worked hard at this because I wanted to use Qumana as my blog client. It fell victim to the “DLL Relocation” error before I got it fixed. So here’s me signing off from Qumana. I hope this is some help

nice!! are you sure beyond a shadow of a doubt that your pc does not crash or something after installing it?
Well, there was the occasional hiccup right after installation (like failing to show the user selection screen). But after your PC gets used to it, things run smoothly.
I think it’s what emulation and modding is for. It takes a little tech bravery on your part to try out the unconventional. And the high that you get upon achieving it

Thanx, man! This fixed my girlfriend’s problem

OUTCH!
I had just deleted my calc… five minutes before finding your tip..
lol
Damn..
thaaaaaaaaaanx a ton bro…….ive been frustated with this problem since very long…….i got it resolved now thanx 2 ur solution……great job…..
I had the same issue with The Fedora Transformation Pack V1. But the coder who wrote apparently wrote so it would debug itself for any missing or corrupt files, of which I had the Cale.exe error. I was getting ready to try your trick but the only choice I had was Install nothing about uninstall. So I clicked on install and Lo and Behold the program started a sys file before the instal and found the following:
Preparing…
Checking System Files…
Reloading File: audiodev.dll
Reloading File: calc.exe
Reloading File: ntkrnlpa.exe
Reloading File: ntoskrnl.exe
Reloading File: wmplayer.exe
Completed
5 file(s) were Reloaded! You need to reboot to apply the changes.
All issues fixed
It seems that the Dev for FKYAKITE OSX has some learning to do who would have thunk it a self healing app……the Apocalypse is near. Still a great tip from you because it lead down the right path to a solution.
Thanks Mate
It solved my headache…………………..
